Note on the Coronavirus and the Fourth Industrial Revolution

I have tried to research the possibility that the coronavirus will impact the world in much the same way as what happened at the end of World War II because of its earth shaking condition. So far, all I found was this small bit of information from The Atlantic: "The horrors of World War II also inspired global leaders to build new institutions like the World Health Organization and UNICEF to promote economic development and confront humanitarian crises." (Bollyky, 2020, p5) It also inspired a liberal democratic order that is advancing the human condition overall. I wonder if this kind of conservative revolution will happen again, perhaps rearing its head in the guise of such things as the fourth industrial revolution (4IR). The 4IR is touted to awaken a revolutionary trend akin to science fiction turning into actual reality (Schwab, 2016). This is a view held by Klaus Schwab in his book "The Fourth Industrial Revolution." Schwab is founder and executive director of the World Economic Forum, and holds two PhD's, and a masters degree from Harvard.
