It seems imminent that most department stores will close, as the last nail in the coffin - the pandemic - ends an era of physical retail that may mark the beginning of an era of E-Business that will progress to exponential heights of technological dynamism. Hopefully, this silver lining in the cloud of the current downturn won't be too painful, and will be a rewarding catharsis.
Unfortunately, the new statistics on Covid 19 are looking somewhat grim, but I am holding out for a process that will expedite a cure and a vaccine in time to vanquish any overall apocalyptic aspect of the crisis. There is a collective sigh of relief in humanity at the end of a such a crisis, and the dead are celebrated in their passing as a tribute to the greater good of humankind. If life does go on, we will all meet again someday in a better life free from strife, and an inability to cope on more infinite dimensions.
I hope this message bears you solace by the fact that their is a future and that contrary to claims by some philosophies, life has totally robust meaning. So, to long life and happiness, and to a future fueled by the prospect of a fully developed, exponential future of the fourth industrial revolution, and the transformation of life to a plateau where we can say something has finally changed, and we are no longer chained to a status quo that supports a history always repeats itself ideology.
I expect that much out of the era we are entering. It won't be utopia, but it will have an ability to redeem lost souls.
